Join our dynamic team as a Quantity Surveyor and play a pivotal role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. This energetic position offers the opportunity to oversee cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control throughout the project lifecycle. As a key contributor, you will ensure projects are delivered within budget, maintaining transparency and accuracy at every stage. Your expertise will help drive successful project outcomes while fostering strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.

Duties

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor project costs continuously, identifying potential overruns early and implementing corrective measures.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, verify quantities, and ensure compliance with financial plans.
  • Manage tendering processes by evaluating bids, negotiating contracts, and securing competitive pricing.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions, change orders, and contractual amendments.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers to forecast costs and support decision-making processes.
  • Control costs effectively by analyzing variances, implementing cost-saving strategies, and ensuring value for money.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control methods, budgeting techniques, and contractual procedures.
  • Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy in financial management.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual documents clearly.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management are preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software tools used for estimating and cost control is advantageous.
