Quantity Surveyor Job position – Birmingham payment-£ 35K-£ 55K plus Package Company & Project – To give effective, profitable and accurate volume surveying of fiscal issues of all delegated contracts from order stage through to and including final account. To conduct themselves in a manner to promote a positive image of the company with a view to securing unborn enquiries and orders. Main Duties To liaise with and communicate completely with the Senior Management Team at all times on all fiscal aspects of delegated systems To operate in a nonpublic and professional manner To misbehave in all respects with the Quality Assurance, Procedures and Systems To laboriously promote a Health and Safety culture within our business, and insure perpetration of the Company’s Health and Safety Policy To be responsible for the expression and timely submission of interim operations for payment, taking due regard to the costs expended to date and any imminent deliveries of material and wherever needed agreeing the operation with the Contractor/ customer representative To be responsible for relating contract variations, to give accurate going and agreement of costs of all variations with the Contractor/ guests representatives previous to the workshop being carried out To cover correspondence and dialogue during the contractual period and correspond in a manner to strengthen or alleviate our contractual and marketable position To familiarise themselves with the payee’s fiscal procedures to insure payment dates and certificated values are attained in advance of the due date and that the payment is entered on time. Also aiding our Accounts Department in allocation of remittances payments entered as and when needed To insure final accounts for all contracts are agreed and paid in full in a timely manner to the benefit of the organisation To contribute completion of the yearly CVR’s in agreement with the agreed schedule, and to attend any needed yearly meetings To report any implicit marketable pitfalls incontinently to the Commercial Director To endeavour to be marketable at all times and seek implicit openings where profit improvement may be possible To be responsible for earning accoutrements in discussion with the functional Delivery platoon at rates most favourable to the organisation when the procurement or shot platoon have n't formerly negotiated a competitive rate To familiarise themselves with the conditions of each design to insure specifications are stuck to, or; o To be present at the handover meeting with the shot platoon where applicable to familiarise themselves with the conditions of each contract to insure specifications are stuck to and that they completely understand the way in which costs has been calculated To search for value adding occasion and engage with our guests in engineering of product and specification in an trouble to enhance profitability and client connections To be responsible for the collecting and issuing of direct labour targets in discussion with the functional Delivery platoon and icing that a positive marketable position exists on all systems between affair and expenditure To manage subcontractors accounts directly and effectively including agreeing terms and conditions, variation claims, payment cycles including pay lower notices where applicable to enhance the contract performance Seek competitive advantage wherever occasion presents and endeavour to seek and promote isolation from our challengers wherever possible To help with estimating as and when needed, including the checking of tenders to insure they're commercially and contractually accurate and financially feasible To conform and cleave to the Authorisation Register Continually challenge ways of working to promote good working practice and help with continual advancements and developments within the business, icing the way we conduct business is as effective as possible To maintain executive duties in line with the Dodd Group QMS procedures.
